Myth 9 – Microwave radiations cause the formation of poisonous compounds in your food 

We are advised to not use Microwave for cooking food, as the waves from the Microwave causes harmful substances to develop in the food. Well, there is an exception to this, let’s find it out!

  1. The waves from the Microwave are no different from the X-ray waves, only much less weak. 
  2. These waves cause heat to generate inside the food and hence, cousin just a heating effect. 
  3. On the other hand, plastic containers may end up leaching compounds in your food, when used in a Microwave. So, use Microwave safe containers for cooking and heating food.
